Settlement Agreements
We regularly act for both employees and employers in respect of Settlement Agreements where the parties are agreeing terms to bring the employment relationship to an end and ensure that no future claim can be brought.
An employee is required to seek advice before entering into these agreements so that they are valid.
In most cases the employer will offer a contribution towards the employee’s legal costs for obtaining that advice. We try to keep our costs within that contribution though that is not always possible.
We also draft settlement agreements for employers and are fees for this are generally in the region of £750 to £2,000 plus VAT depending on the level of the employee and the complexity of the matter.
